In 2003 a COVENANT was adopted between the Parish, Methodist and United Reformed churches in Leatherhead. These three churches hold a combined Carol Service in the Parish Church on the Sunday evening before Christmas.
Through CHURCHES TOGETHER IN LEATHERHEAD (CTiL), Christ Church enjoys a good relationship with other local churches). Members of several other local churches, including the Catholic Church of St Peter and St Mary, Pioneer Engage, and Bookham Baptist Church, together ran an outreach event on the day before Palm Sunday 2016, and joined together on Good Friday 2016 for a Walk of Reflection through the town.
YOUNG PEOPLE and children are very welcome at our Children's Church, and take part in sharing their news with the church family at morning family worship, later moving to their own groups for activities and learning (except in August). There is also a creche for the youngest children. There are regular Parade Services with members of uniformed organisations, and young people take part in a Gift Service at Christ Church shortly before Christmas (right). Leatherhead Trinity School and Woodlands School hold services in Christ Church and the Parish Church each term.
YOUTH WORKER Leatherhead Methodist Church and Christ Church (UR) jointly employ a Youth and Children's Worker, Joycey (Nic Joyce, contact details: Joycey.firstname.lastname@example.org 07583 884812).
MESSY CHURCH occasionally takes place at LMC on the third Thursday of the month for families with children up to about age 9, meeting straight after school for fun, crafts and food.
LEATHERHEAD YOUTH PROJECT: The two churches also support the BFREE Youth Café, which offers internet facilities and activities and advice for young people.
